Celtic Banner
It's finally finished. I started MLI's Celtic Banner before we left for Amsterdam but I had only done the first line of the alphabet. So for the most part this has been my project since we moved here. There were a couple of breaks when I ran out of threads but mainly this is all I've worked on stitching wise. So there are a couple of little mistakes, a lot of cat hairs and a few colour changes but it's done and I'm very happy with it.

Wow! Very pretty! What is the fabric count and exactly how big is it?
Thanks! It's on 32ct linen although for the life of me I don't remember what kind because I bought it so long ago. The stitching size is 113 X 16cm (or 44 X 6in for those of us still in the dark ages). It was my first big project on linen so it was a real learning curve, but I do love how the linen looks. The border is stitched with Wildflowers and it was my first time using them as well and I like the aged look it gave the work.
What beautiful work. That's going to look gorgeous in your place. I could never work with linen that well, I pull too tight and frig up the threads.
WOW WOW WOW! I love it! Its sooo pretty. I have wanted to do this piece for ages, but the size makes me a bit leery. Yours is fantastic. Going to pay a Dutch/Belgian framer an arm and a leg to frame it or will you finish it as a bellpull?
I shudder to think how much it would cost to frame this beast...yikes! Since I am dreadful at finishing this will go to visit my mother with me next time I go home. She is my bellpull finisher extraordinare. Hi Mom :) I'll bribe her with chocolate to do it for me...
Beautiful! Can I Have 1?
