Shopping Extravaganza

Last night we had a quick but very successful shopping trip. We left the condo at 5 with a goal to hit a couple of shops to stock up on our Dutch favorites before our move. The first stop was. Even though I had checked there before and had no luck, I checked again and found
… A POPCORN MAKER! I am so excited. I haven’t tried it yet, but it was the demo model so it better work. Apparently they only get one in at a time… Obviously not a popular item.

The second stop was an organic/herbal chain here in the Netherlands. There we found a Britta Filter, so hopefully our water won’t taste so bad.

The third stop was , my favorite British, organic bath product / girly stuff store. Of course now I hear that one just opened in Mic Mac… Figures. Anyway, I got four different soaps and a really nice face cleanser called Aquamarina. Our bathroom smells really yummy now.

Final stop, . I love this store so much that I looked into franchise opportunities last summer. We got a bunch of different oils and a couple of vinegars and some yummy dips. I also got a gorgeous orange glass plate that I’ll use as a centre piece for our new table … when we get it.

And since we were right beside it, we had super at Los Pilones. Man I’ll miss that place when we move. Must teach the boy how to make Mojitos.

I fell in love with the LUSH store when we were in Amsterdam last summer. In fact, I fell in love with Amersterdam period. In my next life I want to be an ex-pat.

*Sigh* Shopping in A'dam... Glad you got the popcorn maker and I so wish I was there to enjoy the oil and vinegar :) BTW: the new place looks great, I can't wait to see it with your stuff and what new touches you'll bring to it. Life is crazy busy here but should let up a bit in a week or so.
*hugs*
Jenn
