Sardinia, Italy Photo Gallery

Back in April I had the great fortune to visit the north-western part of Sardinia, Italy with a photographer friend. We spent several days photographing the towns, landscape and wild-flowers of this beautiful island. Based in Alghero, we explored Capo Caccia, Porto Ferro, Stintino, Capo Falcone and Bosa. Below are a few of my favourite photos from our travels.

Cistus monspeliensis is a species of rockrose known as Montpelier cistus.

This is the only plant I couldn’t identify. They were only about the size of a quarter.

These were growing right out of the rock… that’s persistence for you!

   Gorgeous photos! I love the rugged coast line … reminds me a bit of your Ireland photos. A lot greener than Malta which I think is interesting. I think you need to take me there next time so I can climb on the castle things.

     I’d love to go back and I think you’d love it too. The beaches are amazing and there are ruins everywhere.
